About the Role: Are you passionate about technology, problem-solving, and helping customers find the right solutions? This role blends engineering expertise with sales skills-perfect for someone who enjoys both the technical and relational side of business. As an Application Solutions Engineer Technical Sales , you'll use your technical background to consult with customers and match them with the best automation and control products for their needs.
What you'll do: In this outside sales role, you'll engage with manufacturers, utilities, consultants, and system integrators across the Kansas City territory. You'll work with advanced automation hardware and software, precision motion control, and industrial applications to create solutions that truly make an impact. Develop new accounts through networking, vendor coordination, and market research Provide quotations, process orders, prepare documents, and deliver technical assistance Conduct engaging technical demonstrations tailored to customer needs Travel within your territory (company car provided) to strengthen and maintain customer relationships Continuously learn about new technologies, products, and industrial applications
Preferred Experience & Skills: Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, industrial communications, industrial software, or precision motion is helpful Degree in automation, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering preferred Ability to establish and grow customer relationships in the Kansas City area Strong understanding of engineering design concepts and industry practices Experience creating presentations, developing sales quotes, and explaining technical concepts clearly Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Self-motivated, organized, and capable of producing high-quality work without micromanagement
