Overview 

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our Starbucks family in a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager with daily operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining high standards across all departments. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry and looking to advance their careers.  We are a fast-growing Starbucks master licensed operator (like a franchise) with 8 stores and counting.

Duties 

  • Most shifts, you will be in charge.   

  • Follow the Starbucks processes that are in place for the successful operation of the coffee house.   

  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departments. 

  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and foster a positive work environment. 

  • Implement training and development programs for new hires and ongoing staff training to maintain high service standards. 

  • Collaborate with baristas to ensure quality food handling practices are followed, enhancing guest satisfaction. 

  • Be a positive and upbeat person with your crew and your customers.  Have fun. 

  • Uphold leadership qualities by motivating team members and promoting a culture of excellence. 

  • Utilize POS system for managing orders, payments, and inventory effectively. 

  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. 

  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations within your Starbucks. 

Skills 

  • Proven experience in supervising teams within a food service environment. 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff. 

  • Knowledge of best practices in food handling procedures is essential. 

  • Proficiency in using POS or similar point-of-sale systems. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: The candidate we are looking for must have open availability and willingness to work a schedule that may be different week to week. The kiosk is open during mall hours of operation 7 days a week.
