Here’s how: Leading Technology Provider for Food & Beverage Supply Chain Top Ranked Third Party Logistics (3PL) Provider to the Retail Sector Pioneering Electric Truck Network in the U.S. Position Highlights: Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Travel: 50 to 75% Base Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 plus commission Sales Territory: Garden City Park, Bronx, Farmingdale, NY Role Summary: The Business Development Manager will focus on generating new customer business within the designated territory. You will educate potential clients about Ryder's offerings, utilizing a strategic sales approach. You are expected to create detailed sales plans, assess profitability, and effectively navigate the competition. This position is designed for a proactive, driven 'hunter' in sales. Your responsibilities will include making the most of travel opportunities (with mileage reimbursement) while you work independently or in collaboration with peers. Territory Overview: Garden City Park, NY Bronx, NY Farmingdale, NY Key Responsibilities: Develop targeted sales strategies and maintain a pipeline that meets and exceeds quotas. Proactively engage with leads and represent the full spectrum of Ryder’s services. Work closely with Account Representatives and Customer Development Managers to transition and nurture accounts. Conduct thorough needs assessments and create value-based proposals. Help ensure new client orientations are comprehensive. Report sales activities and adhere to sales protocols and compliance standards. Enhance personal skills and industry knowledge through ongoing training and development. Important Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent experience. Minimum of five years of consistent sales success. Strong understanding of financial data.
