Business Development Representative, EVC Direct Sales

We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to support Evergeds direct sales strategy. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and engaging potential customers in key verticals, including retail, hospitality, fleet, real estate, and municipalities. Youll be the first point of contact for many of our prospects, playing a critical role in building pipeline and shaping how organizations view Everged as a strategic partner for their EVC and energy needs. Responsibilities Source, engage, and qualify inbound and outbound leads through research, cold outreach, LinkedIn, email sequences, and discovery calls. Gain a deep understanding of customer pain points in EV adoption, energy management, and sustainability targets. Communicate Evergeds value proposition clearly, positioning our platform as a differentiated solution in a noisy market. Collaborate closely with Sales Engineering to hand off qualified leads and support the sales cycle from discovery to close. Maintain up-to-date records of all activities, contacts, and progress in the CRM (HubSpot.) Execute tailored outreach sequences targeting priority industries, accounts, or buyer personas (e.g., facilities managers, fleet operators, sustainability leads). Share market intelligence, competitive signals, and prospect feedback with marketing and product teams to help refine positioning. Qualifications 3 - 5 years of BDR, SDR, or sales experience, ideally in SaaS, energy, EV, or clean tech Passion for electrification, sustainability, or mobility Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-starter with a growth mindset and desire to learn fast in a startup environment Ability to understand and explain technical solutions in a simple, compelling way
