Where you will work: This individual may be based remotely preferably in the greater Seattle, WA area with the ability to travel into the nearest office and the field as needed A Day in the Life of the Carrier Sales Manager:
Astound Broadband is currently searching for a Carrier Sales Manager. This position presents the opportunity for targeting and solution selling into new (and some existing) logos within the AI segment that require high bandwidth, custom or complex infrastructure and connectivity solutions. The Carrier Sales Manager will be helping to set strategy and targets for this cutting edge industry. Identifying appropriate partnerships that fit within the media vertical model
Solution selling to broadcasters, professional media companies, content distribution networks and large carriers
Targeting and solution selling to hyperscaler, OTT, AI companies, and data center clients
Business development and proactive sales activities in new and existing markets in the region
Complex project and opportunity management including financial models and analysis of sales solution
Contract negotiations
Evaluating competitive marketplace
Internal communications to ensure boundary partners are engaged on bids and solutions
Manage, up-sell, and renew agreements of assigned accounts
Track, manage, and report ongoing activity relative to plan
Maintain and report targeted objectives
Lifecycle management of assigned accounts
Performs other duties as assigned and may include sales management and support of Cellular Accounts What You Bring to the Table: Minimum 8-10 years of recent experience with data services in current telecommunications environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated business development mindset
Demonstrated success in telecommunications in an advanced carrier sales environment
Demonstrated success in media, hyperscaler, OTT, and data center sales
Strong network with customers in region’s data centers and with telecom providers
Ability tocommunicate with C level executives within an organization
Experience in data communications sales or service, consultative sales techniques, and account planning including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range client management strategies
Technical skills relatedto network and transmission design and local access services is a plus
Product knowledge of Dark Fiber, E-Access, E-NNI, IP, Wavelength, Spectrum and next-gen services as well as associated end-user and carrier applications
Product knowledge of FTTC, Small Cell technology in the cellular space a plus
Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning, andbillingprocesses
Working knowledge of general marketing principle tools and processes
Skills necessary for decision making and maintaining customer retention
Strong communication and business writing skills
Proven track record in business development and carrier sales
Experience with financial models and analysis related to sales opportunities, ROI, IRR
Exemplary organizational and communications skills
Minimum Intermediate skills with Microsoft office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Strong experience and relationships to leverage sales in the carrier space
Existing carrier relationships to be leveraged for new sales and account onboarding
Involvement in trade and commercial organizations to expand the market awareness of the company
Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, correspondence, and in person
Ability to operate standard office equipment, to include personal computer, telephone, printer, copier, facsimile machine, and calculator
Ability to stay focused and remain composed during peak periods & when dealing with challenging situations
Ability to problem solve and see the big picture
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, limited to key customer meetings and conferences. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Employee discount program Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $110K - $125K annually, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
Commissions at plan: Targeted commissions at full attainment are seventy-two thousand annually. Our sales total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
