We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while adhering to cash handling policies. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly. Assist with merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring shelves are stocked and organized. Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and educate customers about new items. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding displays. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support as needed. Skills Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Experience in retail sales, particularly within grocery stores, is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on communication and phone etiquette. Ability to perform merchandising tasks effectively while maintaining an appealing store environment. Experience in stocking products efficiently to ensure availability for customers. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales tracking.
