Job Details: Job Title: Catering & Event Sales Coordinator Company- Burma Superstar - SF Wage : $25/hr boe + Commission Reports to: The Restaurant Manager Time- Full time w/ potential overtime. Job Overview: The Catering & Events Sales Specialist is responsible for driving catering, private dining, and event sales while ensuring seamless coordination from booking to execution. This role focuses on proactive sales outreach, client relationship management, and securing new business opportunities to achieve revenue goals. In addition to selling, the specialist serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, coordinating event details with the restaurant team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Success in this role is measured by consistent sales growth, repeat business, flawless event execution, and client satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities: Proactively generate new catering, private dining, and event business through outbound calls, emails, networking, and community outreach. Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings. Conduct site tours and present the restaurant’s catering and private dining offerings. Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, community partners, and repeat guests. Create customized proposals, quotes, and contracts that align with client needs and restaurant standards. Negotiate pricing and terms within approved guidelines to secure bookings. Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the planning process, ensuring all event details are clear. Coordinate event logistics (timelines, menus, floor plans, special requests) with the restaurant operations team. Communicate event details accurately to staff to guarantee seamless execution. Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Track and report on sales activity, pipeline status, and event revenue performance Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly catering and event sales goals. Represent the restaurant at networking events, trade shows, and community functions to drive awareness and leads. Requirements: Experience working in DTC & B2B sales and/or the catering/private events industry. (Preferred) The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work as part of a team. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Self-Motivated and driven to excel.
