Commercial Tire Sales Representative-Outside

Description: Generate maximum sales available by traveling assigned market area to develop prospective customers and service existing customers, including commercial, fleet, and national accounts. Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide quality value-added services. Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Company's products and services. Exert necessary sales efforts to meet sales goals
Customer service:
Call on existing customer accounts
Develop prospective customers through “cold calls”
Ascertain customer needs/desires; inspect vehicle/fleet as needed
Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise
Arrange for delivery and pickup of tires to expedite service; may make deliveries and assist customer in loading/unloading tires
Handle customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, rates, and services
Obtain orders:
Meet or exceed sales goals
Compute and quote sales prices and total purchases (working with company service department as needed)
Explain credit terms available for purchases and secure required information for extension of credit
Develop and maintain knowledge of new and current products and pricing
Maintain knowledge of current fleet programs, national accounts, and promotions
Maintain knowledge of policies regarding payment, exchanges, and returns, and security practices
Other
Maintain call and sales records of prospects and customers
Provide feedback to management, including but not limited to call reports, target account lists, weekly action plan, fleet inspection reports, competition/current price conditions.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
Sitting / driving for extended periods of time.
Squatting, bending, and twisting: frequent
Standing: frequent.
Environment:
Work in environment that is not climate controlled (calling on customers and inspecting vehicles). Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.

Sense of sound (Ringing telephones, alarms, horns and motorized equipment)
PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, footwear or other PPE as needed)
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of commercial tire or related sales experience
Certifications/Licenses:
Valid drivers license

Microsoft Office Suite, MaddenCo
