Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for building positive business relationships with on and off premise retailers, and internal personnel to grow market share in assigned territory. Responsible for managing distributor representatives in your market territory. Ensure all interactions with on and off premise accounts by you, result in sales orders and timely deliveries to all accounts. Actively communicate with distributor representatives all problems with sales orders or delivery of supplier products. Responsible for assigned retail accounts (75%) on regular call frequency to sell volume, new distribution, management of shelf space, promote suggested pricing, acquire or maintain floor displays, point of sale and merchandising. Responsible for assigned on premise accounts (25%) on a regular call frequency to sell new distribution in the back bar, pricing, menu placements, feature drinks, well placements, place point of sale and merchandising for optimum brand exposure opportunities. Present sales presentations to assigned accounts, chain buyers, and distributor sales teams using sales data, trends, brand sales sheets, and product sampling to convey company initiatives, expectations, and sales direction. Responsible for developing and communicating daily/weekly pre-plans and follow up with daily/weekly successes to your team lead to attain pre-set budget and market execution goals Must attend sales meetings and selected operational team meetings as scheduled by Rebecca Creek Distillery Responsible for any other sales task that is assigned by RCD management to assist with an increased growth opportunity (ie special events/promotional tastings, etc) Provide and support staff trainings to key on premise accounts Balance time spent in each account against the potential of that account Maintain a working knowledge of each spirit category and competitive trends as an informed consultant based on customer needs and prospect opportunities Track placements, pricing, shelf positioning, and display activity for targeted off premise accounts Track placements, menus, features, and POS opportunities for targeted on premise accounts Communicate and follow up with all issues in a timely manner to accounts and RCD management Rides with distributor reps when availability is offered Communicate, plan, and execute all internal or external events three weeks in advance Expenses turned in by the 10th of every month. Must abide by monthly / quarterly / yearly budget goals Qualifications and Skills
Must be 21 years or older and have valid drivers license with less than 4 points on your Motor Vehicle Record (a copy will need to be provided) Must pass physical aptitude test, drug test, and background check prior to employment. High School Diploma or GED certificate. Bachelor's degree or additional higher education is preferred. Minimum (1) year sales experience or (2) years merchandising in beverage industry preferred. Prior Bar, Brewery, Distillery, Alcohol Distributor, or Winery experience is a plus. Self-Motivated and high energy level to be able to handle a fast-changing environment. Ability to set priorities, highly organized and attentive to detail. Possess high customer service skills and ability to work with others in a positive manner to resolve issues in a professional manner. Customer follow up and communication a must. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Physical requirements: Ability to lift products up to 65lbs (i.e. 1.75L case) and possible repetitive lifting moving back stock, building displays and hanging of point of sale. Ability to work in a team environment, have strong communication/interpersonal skills, have a positive team player attitude and be coach-able. Be willing to work flexible hours if needed to include nights, weekends and sometimes during holidays. Benefits
