Now Hiring! Full Time Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate - Maui $23.00 per hour **Must be at least 21 years of age Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 8:00-4:30pm Is your current job a nightmare? Make it a dream job at Mattress Firm! The Driver contributes to Mattress Firm's success by pulling and staging products, loading and unloading trucks, and delivering products to customers and stores. This role navigates to each destination on the schedule and records delivery logs. This position also communicates with customers to ensure world-class service is provided and always operates according to safety policies and procedures. Essential Responsibilities Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of product to ensure timely service.
Load, secure, and unload cargo.
Operate a truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Size of truck is more than 3 tons.
Obtain client and customer signatures as acknowledgment of having received the delivered products.
Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring proper set up and removal of old products in a safe manner.
Maintain contact with router to receive instructions about scheduled delivery or pick up.
Follow delivery driving routes and time schedules.
Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
Responsible for daily vehicle inspection reporting and routine maintenance of vehicle and all other equipment provided.
Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.
Non-Essential Responsibilities Assist in warehouse duties when necessary.
Ensure safe and timely transfer of products between store locations.
Assist store personnel with material movement.
Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by the supervisor.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.
Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Professional Experience 1+ Years related experience preferred
Skills List Strong communication skills.
Able to be thorough and accurate when accomplishing a task.
Ability to manage time efficiently to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
Knowledge Familiarity with navigation systems
Microsoft Office products (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications Satisfactory driving record. Upon Hire required
Valid Drivers License. Upon Hire required
Valid and updated Medical Certificate. Upon Hire required
