The Director of Mid-Market and Commercial Sales will lead a team of Account Executives and Mid-Market Sales Directors selling new business to prospects. Target accounts will be identified by sales team members and the company through marketing efforts. The ideal candidate has built and led sales teams in the Software as a Service space with a strong track record closing revenue in the software industry. This person should be an expert at positioning business value, selling enterprise software solutions, managing sales cycles, building relationships with key stakeholders in prospective accounts, and selling against competitor capabilities and threats. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales and is based in San Ramon, CA. Responsibilities Develop and execute a business plan to expand business into new accounts leveraging company-generated leads, business development, partners, channels, associations, and other sales-generated leads Guide and manage the activities of Account Executives and Mid-Market Sales Directors to ensure revenue goals and objectives are exceeded Prepare, coach, and support the sales team by phone in their meetings with prospects Provide accurate forecasting in Salesforce.com including deals in commit, upside, and pipeline Attract, hire, onboard, train, and retain top sales talent Work with team members individually for ongoing development while promoting a healthy team environment Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required Minimum of 3-5 years enterprise software sales experience selling solutions at the C-level Management experience required Successful track record in high-volume transaction sales and longer-term strategic sales with leadership and closing at least 10 deals per year Excellent C-level communication skills Proven leadership ability to influence, develop and empower team members to achieve objectives with a teamwork approach Comfort demonstrating SaaS/cloud-based software and discussing it with prospects Strong track record of exceeding sales quotas in a complex sales environment Proven expertise in teaching, coaching, and training sales methodologies Strong written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills Location & Work Model This role is hybrid. 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Thu) in the office are required. Compensation & Benefits The total compensation package may include base salary, annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other incentive plans. The US base salary range is $83,200—$161,200 USD.
