Director of Marketing and Sales - Development

This position is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and implementation for sales and marketing activities for LCS Development projects. This position partners with teams across the organization to create and drive consistent sales and marketing practices, materials, training, and measurements of success.

The Role:
Provide strategic marketing and sales oversight for multiple Life Plan greenfield communities
Accountable for ensuring the assigned communities achieve sales targets
Engages and partners with current regional staff in select expansion projects
Manages, hires and trains community based sales team members.
Ensure a successful hand-off to the regional sales and marketing team or owner/operator occurs after a mutually agreed upon time.
Partner with development clients on sales and marketing planning and performance management.
Partner with LCS marketing or third-party client on agency selection and marketing program management for assigned communities.
Partner with LCS marketing, new business development team and LCS Development where requested to create aligned client proposals, presentations, and campaigns.
Participate in internal new business meetings and select client presentations with LCS Development and or LCS new business development.
Partner with LCS Development, LCS National Marketing, and the Chief Sales Officer to develop consistency in LCS Development marketing collateral and marketing programs.
Participate with LCS Development, LCS new business development, and LCS Real Estate in discussions related to master planning market viability ratings, market assessments, value analysis, focus groups, and if applicable, site selection.
Work with LCS Development, senior living operations management, and community financial planning and analysis teams to develop a marketing budget, set strategic pricing, and create sales and occupancy schedules for new Greenfield projects.
Collaborate with LCS Development to streamline resident selections and move in processes.
Collaborate with Regional Marketing and Sales Development Director regarding any updates to the Marketing Playbook.
Develop and educate current Regional Sales and Marketing teams as needed in expansion sales processes.
Collaborate with senior sales and marketing leaders as well as corporate resources to establish KPI’s geared towards development as well as suggest needs for updates to Salesforce to meet the needs of development communities.
Provide leadership and training to regional sales and marketing teams the following priorities and responsibilities: generating priority sales, converting sales through appropriate planning for collateral, event planning, training of onsite sales resources, sales office design and set up, referral and resident retention programs, sales systems and reporting requirements to support SalesFIRST culture and results.
Provides input to appropriate corporate department on the development of a consistent budget processes, expense management, proforma and fill up schedules.
Ensures that LCS sales best practices are implemented at assigned communities.
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years related experience required.
Experience in entrance fee senior living multi-site management required.
Greenfield / blue sky entrance fee community experience required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, vendors, all community and corporate staff, and owner/boards.
Excellent speaking/presentation skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating environment, Microsoft Office Suite, and e-mail programs.
Extensive experience in and knowledge of sales and marketing techniques with demonstrated proficiency in driving sales and marketing results.

Travel Frequency: 50-75%
Estimated Salary Range: $128,000 - $160,000
