Description We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of all sales, marketing, and revenue-generating initiatives for our property. This role is responsible for maximizing revenue streams across Rooms, Food & Beverage, meetings, events, and catering, while driving occupancy growth, increasing market share, and enhancing brand awareness in both local and national markets. You will oversee a high-performing sales and catering team, collaborate closely with operations, revenue management, and ensure all advertising, promotions, social media, public relations, and digital strategies align with the hotel’s business objectives and exceed guest expectations. As a key member of the Executive Committee , your insights and leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the hotel's strategic vision. Develop and execute an annual sales and marketing plan to achieve revenue goals across all segments and F&B. Lead, coach, and motivate the sales and marketing team to meet performance targets. Drive direct sales through personal account management, prospecting, and client relationship building. Oversee all marketing efforts, including digital, social media, branding, public relations, and advertising. Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing, distribution, and inventory strategies. Manage the sales and marketing budget in alignment with financial objectives. Prepare and execute the annual sales and marketing budget, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives. Represent the hotel at industry events and build visibility through local CVB involvement. Conduct market analysis, prepare performance reports, and present insights to ownership and leadership. Other duties as assigned. What do you bring to the role? 5+ years of upscale hospitality/hotel sales management experience with proven success in selling, negotiation, and prospecting. Strong organizational, task management, and verbal/written communication skills. Motivated self-starter with a focus on customer loyalty and identifying new business opportunities. Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Strong leadership abilities, including team motivation, emotional intelligence, and performance management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. Familiarity with Delphi FDC, Salesforce, Opera, and Passkey are a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted. What’s in it for you?
