Our client is a market leader in fluid system components and operates as an independently owned distribution center for a world-class manufacturer. This role offers a significant opportunity to help build and implement a professional sales organization from the ground up in a stable industry with a premier brand, strong growth potential, and supportive leadership.
Job Description
- Strategy: Lead a Sales Rebuild and Growth Strategy: Overhaul the current sales process, compensation plan, and team structure with a metrics-driven, proactive sales culture to drive growth from $50M to $100M in revenue.
- Leadership: Manage and Develop the Sales Team: Lead and coach a team of six outside sales representatives (growing to ten), evaluate performance, set accountability, and develop new market-based teams alongside a geography-based team.
- Revenue: Drive New Business and Solutions Sales: Oversee total sales while focusing on new business acquisition and expanding custom solutions for turnkey services, field advisory, and paid training.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of direct sales leadership experience, preferably at the director level, with a track record of rebuilding and professionalizing a sales organization
- Experience creating sales playbooks, implementing formal training, defining processes and KPIs, and modeling compensation plans
- Industrial B2B and Fluid Systems Expertise: Strong background in industrial B2B sales, specifically in fluid systems or related technical fields
Location
Reporting to an office 2 days a week in the Greater Burlington, MA area and 3 days a week traveling throughout the Northeast Region with the sales team.
