A top-rated hotel group based in the Charlottesville, Virginia area is seeking a Director of Sales to lead its sales and marketing efforts. The qualified candidate will play a pivotal role in maximizing room revenue for its Charlottesville, Virginia, property. Responsibilities will include identifying and capitalizing on new sales opportunities within the Charlottesville market, and this role will work closely with leadership to uncover new business prospects and nurture existing accounts to achieve our revenue goals. This is a successful branded property with a great reputation. Qualified candidates must be willing to reside near Charlottesville, VA.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 Base salary with up to 35% bonus potential, comprehensive health insurance, 401k, PTO, sick pay, and much more!

3-5 years of hotel sales experience (or BT sales experience in like industries, i.e., rental car) Solid budget management skills including forecasting, file balancing, auditing, research and segment sales reviews Knowledge of hotel operations, competitive set rates, property positioning, promotional offers and packaging Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Sales CRM, etc. 4-year college degree preferred Direct experience with some or all of the following hotel sales categories: Business Travel Sales Government Transient and Group Sales Corporate, Social, Tour, and Travel Group Sales Crew Sales Catering Sales
