Join us as our next Director of Sales and lead our U.S. sales team to new heights! This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and experienced leader skilled in sales management, team development, and cross-functional collaboration, especially in the Mission Critical and Industrial sectors .
Compensation: $160,000k + uncapped commission (OTE $250-350k) Location: REMOTE with Travel (must live within one hour commute of international airport) Schedule: Mon - Fri, Standard Hours
DIRECTOR OF SALES RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive Sales Performance: Lead a team of Account Managers to execute a national sales strategy and achieve ambitious revenue targets. Coach and Develop Talent: Provide daily guidance, coaching, and support to Account Managers, empowering them to meet individual and team sales goals. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team check-ins to review pipeline health, account strategies, and performance metrics. Optimize Sales Operations: Monitor and manage sales activities through CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and clear pipeline visibility. Support Account Growth: Assist Account Managers in developing strategic account plans, identifying upsell opportunities, and effectively resolving customer challenges. Enhance Team Capabilities: Facilitate training and development initiatives to boost product knowledge, refine sales techniques, and improve customer engagement skills. Refine Value Proposition: Continuously evaluate, refine, and champion a compelling value proposition tailored to target customer personas. Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales to align regional and international sales strategies with broader company objectives. Provide regular performance updates, forecasts, and strategic insights to the VP of Sales to support executive decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing to develop impactful sales enablement tools, messaging, and content for internal teams and channel partners. Work with Inside Sales and Marketing to design and implement promotional campaigns and outreach strategies that drive lead generation and revenue growth. Brand Representation: Represent c ompany at industry events and trade shows to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and build strategic relationships. Channel Partner Support: Support channel partners through direct engagement, strategic guidance, and tailored sales collateral. Continuous Improvement: Continuously measure and optimize the effectiveness of sales strategies, messaging, and team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs). Proactively identify and resolve execution challenges by implementing corrective action plans to ensure strategic alignment.
DIRECTOR OF SALES QUALIFICATIONS: Technical Acumen: Possess a background in electrical power monitoring systems, electrical engineering, or IT to effectively understand and address customer needs for their electrical distribution systems. Industry Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Mission Critical industry, with a strong focus on sales or business development. Project Experience: Demonstrated electrical project engineering experience working with End Users, OEMs, Integrators, and Partners. Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership skills in managing and collaborating with diverse teams, both in-person and remotely. Driven & Resilient: A strong drive to succeed, coupled with an open, constructive, and persistent personality that thrives on challenges. Exceptional Networking: Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and with external stakeholders. Communication & Presentation: Proficient in crafting compelling, customer-focused technical proposals, processing tenders, and delivering impactful presentations. Comfortable giving video-recorded presentations and speaking in front of audiences. Contractual Knowledge: Experience reviewing legal agreements, terms, and conditions. Adaptability & Learning: Eager to learn and apply new tools and develop skills that support success in the role and contribute tocompany growth. Location & Travel: Reside in a major U.S. metro area within a one-hour commute of an international airport.
