What to Expect?
Reporting to the General Manager (GM) this position provides strategic leadership to division personnel to execute plans and actions created by the GM and Corporate Channel Manager to drive revenue, profit and market share growth, sales team skills development and competitive analysis for the division.
On a daily basis our Division Sales Manager:
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with top tier customers.
Penetrates existing/new markets, identifies all sources of business and creates maximum sales and profit opportunities for POOLCORP.
Communicates decisions involving pricing, discounts and rebates with Sales Center Manager, Regional Manager and/or General Manager prior to visiting customers.
Drives CMS through all BDR’s, SCMs, counter personnel and all other employees who interact with customers.
Works as a mentor and educator to all sales personnel involving all facets of sales, including but not limited to; organization, planning and follow–up.
Trains employees and customers in all technological tools and marketing programs available.
Foresees the needs of each customer in order to implement successful marketing strategies.
Acts as liaison between product managers and sales personnel to convey all focus products and company initiatives.
Establishes strong relationships with vendors in order to maximize their participation in the POOLCORP sales effort. Develops “specials”, schedules appointments for sales calls, training sessions, counter days and open houses.
What You Will Need:
Bachelors Degree in Professional Sales, Marketing or similar discipline.
7+ years sales experience in wholesale distribution with a proven record of building strong customer relationships.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Self-motivated with experience motivating a driven sales force of ~20 employees.
Ability to make good business decisions on the spot to complete sales deals.
Ability to create and execute strategic business plans
Knowledgeable in all marketing programs and technological tools available and able teach to employees and customers.
Ability to present in front of customers and large groups
Will be required to complete all levels of POOLCORP Sales Certification/Degree Program.
