Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We're working on behalf of a client in York, PA, seeking an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment in a fast-paced factory setting.
As an Electrical and Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and longevity of equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, control systems, wiring, and other industrial equipment. Your strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems will enable you to diagnose and repair malfunctions effectively, while your problem-solving and analytical skills will help you identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Key responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement customized maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and productivity.
Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
Provide technical support and training to production staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
Identify and prioritize capital projects to upgrade or replace outdated equipment and improve overall facility operations.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of current maintenance procedures and implement changes as needed.
Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including circuit analysis and electrical power distribution
Experience with PLC programming and automation systems is a plus
Knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics
Leadership and Collaboration:
Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with production staff, supervisors, and other stakeholders
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
2-5 years of experience as an electrical or mechanical technician, or in a related field
