Overview The Energy Performance Services Sales Manager is committed to promoting Siemens market position for delivering energy efficiency and distributed energy solutions to help our customers create outstanding experiences. You will lead a team of account executives and drive commitment and accountability across your region to achieve or exceed sales goals. Ideal candidates will understand customer needs, create and implement a sales strategy, and develop value propositions for our customers. You will also lead, hire, develop, and retain top talent within the team. Location We would like this person to be based in one of the following metropolitan areas: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, or State College, PA Richmond or Alexandria, VA Washington, DC Baltimore, MD Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati, OH Travel Travel overnight 60% on average for training and business development. Responsibilities Develop value propositions for target vertical markets including commercial and industrial, healthcare, higher education, state and local government, and the public and private K-12 school market; develop short-term (36 months) and long-term (23 years) strategic sales plans. Establish executive-level relationships with targeted customers; develop and implement direct and indirect sales structures, sales plans, and sales forecasts; provide input to sales targets. Maintain trade contacts, participate in industry association functions, mentor to develop skills, lead performance management, and track key sales metrics (funnel management, sales process, coverage of critical accounts, compliance, etc.). Promote team selling and expansion of relationships across divisions and geographic areas; act as a resource to sales staff regarding products, applications, and services; support the sales process through all phases, including turnover and implementation. Coach sellers to assess customer needs, identify buying priorities, and review bids to meet company and customer objectives; assist with margins, resources, and future opportunities. Network with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens divisions to gain knowledge of offerings; share knowledge with teams and identify market opportunities; develop strategies to improve impact to the company. Articulate and drive Siemens digitalization strategy, remote services, and big data analytics. Qualifications You will make an impact with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or state-recognized GED 5+ years of sales experience Demonstrated: industry knowledge of the Energy Services Company (ESCO) and Distributed Energy markets; leadership to grow and develop sales personnel; business and financial acumen to align financing with customer goals; ability to interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers; strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills. On-the-job experience with managing contracts and solutions, leading change, and working in a solution- or consultative-selling environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; experience with Microsoft Office; legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering, or related field or Masters Degree 10+ years of sales experience in a similar industry Proficiency with Salesforce CRM Management experience in the energy or construction industries Technical proficiency in mechanical systems, electrical systems, IT, building technologies, and demand-side energy management Compensation and Benefits Salary range and bonus target are provided: $146,400 - $198,000 with an annual incentive target of 25% of base salary; actual offer may vary by budget, experience, and location.
