SUMMARY
The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients by acting as the primary point of contact, understanding their needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate services, and identifying opportunities to increase sales and revenue within their assigned accounts, often by collaborating with our Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams to establish and maintain process compliance, develop and facilitate growth strategies and plans, and other duties to enhance a healthy and sustainable partnership for our customers.
COMPENSATION
$50,000 - $75,000 base annual salary plus performance bonus eligibility.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
A valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to drive company vehicles.
Must have the ability to utilize personal vehicle to perform job functions IAW company policy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to travel 50-75% by vehicle or air, with overnight travel throughout territory
Customer-centric approach and ability to build rapport
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate or bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
Three (3) years of experience in environmental sciences, account/project management, or a related field.
Highly organized using a variety of tools (email, calendars, software)
Advanced customer service skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must have the ability to sit and work at a desk on a computer for extended periods
Must have the ability to sit, kneel, stand, or walk for 5-10 hours a day
Must have the ability to infrequently lift, push, pull, or move 50 pounds or more
Must have the ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment
Must be able to physically evaluate customer sites using required personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Exemplify our five core values (Safety, Others, Integrity, Initiative, and Passion)
Develop strong, trusting relationships with key decision-makers at client companies through regular communication and proactive outreach
Identify and understand client needs, pain points, and goals to tailor solutions accordingly
Identify potential upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue generation
Qualify and manage vendor partners
Keep accurate records, prepare proposals, and other administrative tasks using company-designated software and methods
Communicate customer expectations to our operations team
Act as the primary point of contact for resolving customer inquiries, complaints, and challenges
Track key account metrics, generating reports on account performance, and identifying areas for improvement
Conduct environmental inspections and communicate deficiencies to customers
Lead/participate in monthly calls with Operations Managers on existing and upcoming repairs
Maintain a high level of communication with authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), i.e. code enforcement, stormwater inspector, county engineer, etc.
Work closely with various internal teams like sales, marketing, customer service, and product development to ensure client needs are met
Developing account plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and long-term customer retention
Staying updated on industry trends and competitor activity to provide informed recommendations to clients
