Bramwith Consulting ETRM Senior Sales Engineer / PreSales Consultant (New York City or Houston based) - $175-225k + uncapped commission + bonus
Rapidly growing Saas / Cloud based software business specialized in providing state of the art, market leading cross asset, front to back office energy trading & risk management software used by energy majors, investment banks, hedge funds and utilities seeks a Senior Sales Engineer / Senior PreSales Consultant to join their US business, based either out of their New York City or Houston office.
There will be some travel with this role as most client demos are done face-to-face, so typically travelling and demoing the ETRM software and flying back on that day or possibly staying overnight occasionally. On average you will be travelling/away to client site around 4 days per month, so should be very manageable.
My client is a cutting edge, modern energy trading software business who provides a unique ETRM offering. Based out of the US, but already with clients in Europe and Asia, the business is growing significantly in revenue year-on-year and thus have a brand new Senior Sales Engineer / Senior PreSales Consultant to work with their US new business sales director in preparing and presenting demos to US and Canadian prospective clients. This is NOT a new business sales role , but will be the subject matter expert (SME) working with the Sales Danager in selling the software to prospective clients through delivering demos.
Salary: Flexible but circa $175-225k basic + uncapped commission + 2% of sales ($600k average deal sizes) + annual discretionary bonus, so all in circa $300k financial package
Key skills sought:
Proven track record working for another energy trading software house or possibly a systems integration / ETRM services consultancy, in an ETRM business orientated role implementing ETRM / CTRM software
It is essential that you have a strong understanding of the energy trading market from working in a business analysis/software implementation role(s), so you'll definitely have a good understanding of the difference between energy trading credit and market risk, the different between swaps and options etc
Ideally previous sales engineer/presales experience either in a formal sales engineer role or possibly helping your firm out with occasional RFIs/RFPs and client demos
It is essential that you have some experience working in a sales orientated role, so involved in preparing and presenting demos to energy trading clients
This is not a developer role, but does need someone with some software configuration skills, so a good knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Power BI and Excel would be ideal
US passport holder, or hold a Green card or other visa allowing you to live and work in the US, as my client can't / won't sponsor visas
