Field Sales Representative

Edward Don & Company is seeking a driven and customer-focused Field Sales Representative to join our team in the Southern Boston, MA Territory. In this dynamic, field-based role, you'll manage and grow your book of business by building lasting relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and pursuing new opportunities. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving and exceeding Territory/District sales goals, making a measurable impact on our continued success and overall selling Edward Don products and supplies. Territory: This territory ideally includes Brockton, the Bridgewater, Middleborough, and surrounding areas Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience within the foodservice equipment industry — or 5+ years of hands-on leadership in foodservice roles such as Bar Manager, Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, or Owner. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to manage data, communicate effectively, and stay organized. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities — personable, proactive, and confident in engaging clients, asking the right questions, and building lasting relationships Reliable personal transportation Preferred : Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar sales environment (B2B foodservice) Previous knowledge and/or experience working with SAP. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Territory Management : Travel independently throughout your assigned territory to engage with existing and prospective customers, promoting products and securing orders. Product Expertise : Present and demonstrate products using samples and catalogs, highlighting key features and benefits tailored to each customer's needs. Sales Execution : Provide accurate quotes, negotiate pricing and credit terms, and close sales effectively. Customer Relationship Building : Act as a trusted advisor, offering guidance and solutions that align with customer goals and operational needs. Account Management : Oversee collections, ensure timely follow-ups, and maintain high service standards across all accounts. Operational Support : Participate in pre-pack check-ins and assist with physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, standing for extended periods). Internal Collaboration : Maintain regular communication with internal departments, factory reps, and your District Sales Manager to align on goals and initiatives. Market Intelligence : Monitor competitive activity, analyze marketing data, and stay informed on new products and pricing strategies. Sales Strategy : Develop tailored sales and pricing objectives for each account, ensuring consistent contact and vertical penetration. Forecasting & Planning : Prepare accurate sales estimates and forecasts and maintain a robust prospect list integrated into weekly call plans. Team Engagement : Attend and actively participate in District/Regional sales meetings and maintain daily communication with your manager to track progress. Continuous Prospecting : Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand your territory footprint. Other Duties : Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support business growth and customer satisfaction
