Lead and implement the go-to-market strategy for Nutanix's Cloud Native solutions to drive market growth and customer adoption.
Manage a high-performing global sales team, focusing on building talent and ensuring a collaborative, accountable environment.
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with channel partners, alliances, and key stakeholders to amplify market presence.
Oversee the sales pipeline, revenue targets, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Foster a customer-centric culture by ensuring effective onboarding, support, and expansion plans for clients.
Amplify Nutanix’s brand by representing the company at industry events and collaborating with external stakeholders.
Implement training and enablement programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of both sales and technical resources.
Achieve initial financial targets, including gross retention and bookings, while laying the groundwork for sustained growth in the first year.
What You Will Bring
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and entrepreneurial leader to lead our Global Nutanix Database Services (NDB) Sales organization. In this role, you will report directly to Global Sales leadership and be responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy for Nutanix’s Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) portfolio, leveraging Solution Specialists and core Nutanix sellers to capture a rapidly growing market opportunity.Our new sales leader will bring deep domain expertise in enterprise database technologies, including relational and NoSQL systems, and a strong understanding of how modern organizations manage data across hybrid and multicloud environments. You will be tasked with driving Nutanix’s growth in the DBaaS space by deploying repeatable sales strategies, building strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing global team. This role requires a proven track record of scaling new products within the enterprise, providing both practical and visionary leadership, and empowering sellers with actionable tactics and campaigns.Experience in database platforms such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and others is essential, along with a strong grasp of cloud infrastructure and SaaS GTM models. Candidates should demonstrate success in global sales leadership roles, including matrixed environments that span pre-sales, alliances, and channel ecosystems. 10+ years of quota-carrying sales and/or business development experience
5+ years of high-level sales leadership experience in a fast-paced, competitive environment
Deep knowledge of enterprise database technologies and DBaaS platforms
Experience negotiating large, complex deals with strategic customers
Proven success in driving product adoption and expansion
Ability to influence across all levels of business and IT within large organizations
Humble, action-oriented leadership style with a collaborative mindset
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in high-growth environments
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
Willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic and international)
Work ArrangementRemote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 368,000 and USD $ 552,000 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
