Job Title: Global Strategic Sales Director Company: Castor Engineering Location: Remote within three hours of Birmingham, MI (Work from home, regular travel to client sites as required by business needs. Travel aligned with client activity requiring in-person meetings, mostly in the Midwest.) POSITION OVERVIEW We're excited to hire a proven, high-performing technical sales professional to help take us into the next generation of our business. This is a full-time US-based role, requiring work remotely with clients, utilizing sales tactics and common business tools, along with travel to client locations across North America, primarily. We are seeking a professional, yet aggressive, high-performance, independent self-starter to join our team as a Global Strategic Sales Director . This role is crucial to our growth strategy and will focus on driving sales for our cutting-edge inductive automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical sales, exceptional leadership and partnership skills, and the ability to work autonomously. This role is intended for someone with an extensive relevant sales career, with a technical aspect. We are not able to consider candidates that do not meet minimum requirements. The opportunity for growth is based on your ability to make things happen with new business development. This is not account management, nor a sales leadership role managing a team, nor a role relying solely on inbound leads. This role will require both a strategic and tactical sales approach and correlating activity. Significant proactive sales activity is expected through cold outreach, warm outreach, networking, trade shows and conferences, with extensive direct and partnership sales activity across the industry and prospective clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Global Strategic Sales Director will have the following primary responsibilities: Function as the leader of sales and growth opportunities for Castor - this position is our sales leader, and will lead the strategy and execution of sales for Castor, with an initial intense focus on growing our Ignition Integrator solutions Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand our customer base Identify and engage potential clients, understanding their needs, presenting tailored solutions Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits Follow-up on prospect quotes, track client engagement, and maintain activity scorecards Stay updated with industry trends and competitors, providing insights to improve our products and services Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless project delivery This individual will play a role with existing customer growth through saturation and new customer acquisition This list is not all inclusive, as this role will require others duties as assigned or required for success in the role QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, required Minimum of 7 years of success in technical sales, required Manufacturing experience related to automation is required Industrial automation sector experience, highly preferred Experience with technical sales within manufacturing automotive, aviation, industrial equipment, or other highly technical and industrial areas, highly preferred Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close Comfortability with smaller business enterprise, bringing an entrepreneurial spirit Strong business sense and industry expertise Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills Comfort and ability to travel globally, required (most travel will be Midwest-based) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive base salary, $110,000 - $140,000/year (based on qualifications and experience) Competitive commission incentives based on sales, with no ceiling on total compensation (additional bonus opportunities potential, based on company performance) Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) plan with company match.
