Job Description Location: Bronx Zoo Department: Group Sales & Reservations Title: Group Sales Associate Employment Type: Part-Time Status: Non-Exempt Grade Level: Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00/hour Schedule: Must be able to work 5 days per week including weekends and holidays. Group Sales Associate Essential duties may include: Processing advance bookings and ticket sales for all parks Ensuring that customers are aware of the full range of products available at the individual parks, including special offers Supporting the sales strategy by assisting with outbound calls and telemarketing Answering incoming Group Sales telephone lines & email correspondence. Processing payments and ensuring that ticket orders are accurately fulfilled. Providing administrative and operational support to ensure the department runs smoothly. Qualification Requirements High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including a clear, friendly phone voice Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections Must possess a professional and positive attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, Word and Excel are a must, PowerPoint is a plus. Knowledge of Gateway Ticketing System and/or Salesforce is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
