Job Summary The Inside Parts Sales Representative role primarily provides essential support to customers and service technicians by assisting with parts orders. This position requires strong customer service skills, a sold understanding of heavy duty truck parts, and the ability to handle administrative tasks effectively. Responsibilities Assisting customers with selecting heavy-duty truck parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Informing customers of companion parts requirements, sales promotions, and full product line. Providing price quotes and invoicing details. Providing high-level customer service, including to coworkers. Pulling and filling orders from stock. Locating out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submitting emergency orders, when necessary. Following-up on back-ordered parts. Assisting Outside Sales Representatives with their order needs. Receiving payment from customers or obtaining credit authorization accurately. Ensuring that charge sales are signed by the customer. Ensuring that customers receive an invoice copy. Issuing credit for returned parts. Assisting with core returns and warehouse backstock needs. Keeping organized records of all sales, credit, and refund invoices. Keeping workspace clean and organized. Participating in training programs when available. Keeping current on new and existing truck parts product knowledge. Maintaining a professional appearance. Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
