HVAC Commercial Sales Engineer Remote

We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Commercial Sales Engineer to support the profitable growth of our Coleman commercial HVAC equipment business through our distribution channel partners. This role focuses on Commercial Packaged Rooftops (3–50 tons), Commercial Split Systems, and Controls (single and multi-zone). You will collaborate closely with regional account managers, distributors, contractors, and engineers to assess equipment needs and identify growth opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Business Development
Partner with Regional Account Managers to execute commercial growth strategies and achieve annual operating plans
Build executive-level relationships with key channel partners, becoming a trusted advisor
Develop brand-specific promotions, training content, and tools to support distributor success
Create sales tools such as playbooks, line cards, quote sheets, and selection guides
Identify new customer opportunities and shift sales strategies to expand market reach
Product & Technical Support
Support complex take-offs, specification interpretation, product selection, pricing, and lead time coordination
Deliver technical presentations and training on commercial equipment and tools
Promote factory inventory for stocking and job-specific opportunities
Support new product launches and industry transitions (e.g., A2L refrigerants)
Recommend solutions to engineers, contractors, and end users based on project requirements
Serve as a liaison with product management and assist in updating distributor ERP systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead commercial excellence initiatives with pricing, engineering, customer service, and factory scheduling teams
Support demand planning and provide market feedback to product management
Collaborate with technical support to resolve escalated issues and ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications: Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years’ experience in HVAC/R or system design
Willingness to travel 50–60% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred
Proven ability to deliver commercial HVAC solutions and build strong customer relationships
Strong business acumen and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
