Power of Clean Energy is seeking a dynamic, technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. This role combines engineering expertise with a consultative sales approach to deliver customized building solutions that drive value for our clients.
What you'll do:
Leverage your technical knowledge to identify and develop building comfort, performance, and energy-saving opportunities that include HVAC, building controls, and energy technologies such as lighting, solar power, battery storage, chillers, boilers, and industrial processes. Craft and present proposals to end use clients for tailored solutions for HVAC retrofits, building automation systems, energy efficiency improvements, decarbonization and electrification strategies, and overall facility performance enhancement. Utilize your knowledge of incentive and rebate programs, as well as utility tariffs, to optimize return on investment and overall financial benefits of the energy projects. Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor. Collaborate with internal engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Drive consultative, solution-based sales to achieve or exceed performance targets. What you'll bring to the table: A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred). 5-10+ years of experience in energy engineering, consulting, or energy services sales. In-depth knowledge of building energy systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, automation and controls, distributed generation, renewable energy, and performance analytics. Familiarity with regional utility energy efficiency programs, tariffs, and rate structures. Expertise in system design, energy auditing, and retro-commissioning (a plus). Proven success in consultative, solution-oriented sales and project development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
