Catering to contractors, electricians, and homeowners, the company offers an extensive inventory, including specialty and hard-to-find items, to meet a wide range of project needs. With a large warehouse and partnerships with leading brands, they are known for delivering reliable solutions for both residential and commercial lighting. Due to growth, our client is opening an office in Howell, NJ and is excited to add an Inside Sales (Counter) Representativ e to the team. In this highly visible, client-facing role, you’ll be the go-to resource for our customers. The ideal candidate has prior experience working at an electrical supply house, either in a counter sales position or a related role, and understands the needs of contractors, electricians, and construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers at the sales counter and over the phone, delivering a friendly, professional, and responsive experience. Manage a high volume of transactions for non-switchgear items such as wire, pipe, fittings, fasteners, tools, and related supplies. Partner with warehouse, purchasing, and switchgear teams to ensure seamless service and problem resolution. Maintain deep knowledge of electrical products to recommend solutions tailored to customer needs. Build rapport with repeat customers, fostering loyalty and long-term relationships. Assist with inventory management, restocking, and maintaining an organized counter area. Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales or service within the electrical supply, distribution, building products, or related industry. Must have prior experience working at an electrical supply house (counter sales experience strongly preferred). Strong product knowledge in electrical supplies and related materials. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Familiarity with order entry systems and basic computer proficiency.
