Inside Sales Account Representatives are responsible for retaining, upselling, initiating price improvement, and reducing lost business percentages year-over-year with existing accounts assigned, often for a specific territory. Primary responsibilities are to receive in-bound calls from current customers and to make outbound milk run calls for customer retention and contract renewals. This position uses problem solving skills on a daily basis to resolve customer inquiries and maintain strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities of Position:
Oversee account management of existing lower revenue producing commercial customer accounts with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality of revenue
Retain and develop long-term business relationships with existing customers through proactive and prompt resolution of customer concerns, and timely service agreement updates
Conduct phone calls, and electronic communications to existing customers to foster relationships
Develop and provide a thorough knowledge of Rumpke's available services, lines of business and pricing structure, while offering additional services to existing customers to increase revenue
Respond to service cancellation requests with priority and follow-up in an attempt to save the business where possible
Utilize the Company's CRM on a daily basis, scheduling and documenting activities, and developing customer profiles
Maintain canceled customer list (prospects), flipping to Outside Sales Representatives for future sales
Complete required Customer Service Agreements, reports, and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy
Regularly meet with management to review weekly sales activities and status of customers
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will not manage employees
Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
Proven analytical/problem solving skills for the customer and the company
Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
Excellent customer service and data entry skills
Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team
Ability to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time frames
Ability to always present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:
Previous experience in Inside Sales, Sales Support, Administrative Assistance, or similar experience is preferred
Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:
Rarely lifting/carrying a max of 50 lbs
Occasionally working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
Continuously sitting in an office environment
Rarely standing/walking
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
Ability to travel between offices, as required
Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
Must be able to read and speak the English language
