SUMMARY The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in generating revenue by engaging prospective and existing residential customers. This role will focus primarily on outbound cold calling with email and text follow-ups. There may be some inbound call handling during peak times and sales support as needed. The ideal candidate will listen closely to understand customer needs, explain Uniteds products and services, and recommend the right internet and phone solutions to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
POSITION SCHEDULE AND ONSITE REQUIREMENTS This is a direct-hire, in-office position based in our Franklin, TN location. This requires working on-site approximately 30 to 32 hours per week. There is some flexibility in defining the work schedule within our standard sales office hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Examples of a work schedule for this position might include working 4 days per week, 8 hours per day (32 hours per week) or working 5 days per week, 6 hours per day (30 hours per week). The successful candidate will have input into their desired days/hours, but the work schedule must remain consistent from week to week. Your supervisor will work with you to establish your regular work schedule as necessary.Overtime may be required during peak periods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required. Acquire new customers and generate new revenue through outbound cold calling and emails/texts to prospective customers within our service areas. Place outbound calls to existing customers to educate them about new internet speeds available and other product offerings to upgrade/upsell. Occasionally handle inbound sales calls during peak periods to ensure we maintain our world-class service level. Provide sales support functions for the residential sales representatives as needed during paid time off periods for the Sales Support Coordinator. Become a subject matter expert so you can educate customers and prospects on Uniteds offerings, pricing, and service plans. Utilize CRM tools daily (i.e., Salesforce) to document activities, track opportunities, and manage customer interactions. Utilize our company's order placement and billing systems to place service orders and respond to customers questions. Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance standards. Complete all required documentation accurately and timely. Follow up on orders to ensure smooth installation and customer satisfaction as needed.
REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent - required. Basic skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook - required --- with a willingness to learn more advanced features of these programs. Basic mathematics and the ability to calculate amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and taxes required. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work without constant instruction required. Excellent time management skills required. Ability to maintain a level and consistent approach and response when working with short deadlines required. Ability to learn quickly and align personal performance with business growth goals - required. Ability to use a laptop computer and the ability & willingness to learn new online platforms such as our order placement system required. At least one year of telecom industry experience - desired. Proven success in a sales environment with a track record of meeting or exceeding quotas desired. Bilingual candidates (English / Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply.
