Job Responsibilitiesand Duties
As a minimum, the following is a basicdescription of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Inside SalesManager. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change asthe needs of the organization require.
Overseeactivities of all Inside Sales Representatives to meet company expectations ofquality standards, customer satisfaction, and productivity. Recommendhiring, performance review feedback, training, delegation of work assignments, discipline,and discharge of subordinate personnel. Mentorand assist Inside Sales Representatives as necessary, answer job relatedquestions, address problems and customer issues, guide on best practices forcultivating customer relationships. Contributeto weekly sales meetings including review of new customer activity and salesand inventory goals with staff. Troubleshootas necessary, monitoring all lost orders and provide analysis of this data. AssistGeneral Manager to optimize inventory control and purchasing as well as assistin appraising historic data or inventory needs to ensure effective inventoryturnover. Monitordaily sales bookings and provide encouragement and assistance to the InsideSales Representatives in securing orders. Monitorshipping schedules to help maintain promised customer deliveries. Coordinateactivities with other departments to ensure optimal service to customers. Promote,encourage, and support employee training and development. Evaluateand provide regular feedback to employees, such as recognizing accomplishmentsor talking about areas of opportunities. Maintainknowledge of current trends and development in the field and attend appropriateworkshops and seminars to strengthen skills. Contributeto a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement. Communicateeffectively with co-workers, customers and management.
