Inside Sales Representative (Medical) Location: Kernersville, NC (On-Site) Compensation: Hourly base pay with commission. Includes quota-based incentives and performance bonuses. The Role Are you eager to break into the world of medical sales? This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career or with an existing sales background, who's looking to gain real-world experience, learn proven sales strategies, and develop deep industry knowledge in healthcare distribution. At Wilburn Medical Supply, we're offering a hands-on sales role with direct access to decision-makers, the chance to manage key customer accounts, and mentorship from experienced professionals. We offer an hourly base pay plus quarterly performance bonuses. We also provide trainings including a pathway to earn your Accredited Medical Sales (AMS) certification—a credential recognized across the healthcare supply chain. This position is best suited for someone who's motivated to grow, ready to prove themselves, and wants to use this opportunity as a stepping stone toward a long-term career in medical sales. As our Inside Sales Representative, you'll manage a portfolio of key healthcare customer segments, selling a broad variety of medical supplies and products. Your role is to build strong, long-term relationships with these strategically important clients, identify opportunities to increase their spend with Wilburn, and introduce them to our preferred product lines. You'll identify the customer segments that hold the most value for the company and help craft and execute a targeted sales approach. This role blends relationship-building, consultative selling, and persuasive communication to shift customer purchasing behavior away from competitors and into the Wilburn ecosystem. About Wilburn Medical Wilburn Medical is a woman-owned healthcare supply company proudly serving clinics, physicians, and wellness professionals for 28 years. We combine small-business heart with nationwide reach, offering our customers personalized service, high-value products, and a team that genuinely cares. We're entering an exciting growth phase—shifting from low-cost fulfillment to a value-driven, service-first model that prioritizes long-term relationships and strategic partnerships. We have fun and we work hard – and enjoy great snacks, goodies, and celebrating with the team. We prioritize their experience in every decision, respond promptly, and handle every order with care. - Wilburn Cares – We care about our team, our customers, our community, and the quality of our work. We're kind, collaborative, and we take time to listen. - Do the Right Thing – We operate with integrity, even when no one is watching. - Get It Done – We're a small, scrappy team that finds creative ways to solve problems and follow through. We take ownership, work resourcefully, and do whatever it takes to deliver. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow customer accounts within high-value customer specialties. Build consultative relationships and tailor product recommendations to each client's unique needs. Present Wilburn's preferred product list and help shift purchasing behavior from competitor products to our recommended alternatives. Identify opportunities for clients to consolidate their ordering and increase spend with Wilburn. Collaborate with leadership to refine segment strategy and prioritize outreach. Create and manage quotes in NetSuite (our CRM and ERP); set up recurring shipments and manage follow-up. Perform quarterly account pulse checks and respond quickly to time-sensitive opportunities. Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas and maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting. Provide support for day-to-day office operations and order fulfillment as needed due to team absences, illness, or special circumstances. What Makes You a Great Fit Prior experience with the healthcare industry, medical supplies, and/or a distribution business model is a plus, but not required—we'll train the right person with curiosity and drive. You're consultative and persuasive. You know how to present value, shift entrenched buying habits, and help customers make better supply decisions. You love talking to people throughout the day. You're energized by connecting with clients—most of whom you already know—and you're comfortable handling cold calls like a pro when the opportunity arises. You're sales-minded and responsive. You're organized, quick to follow up, and adept at turning time-sensitive opportunities into wins. You're proactive and self-directed. You don't wait for business to come to you—you use downtime to prospect, follow up, or strengthen customer relationships. You see slow periods as chances to uncover new leads or revive old ones. You're a natural problem-solver. You enjoy helping customers find better solutions, even if that means navigating backorders or suggesting comparable alternatives. You're relationship-driven, optimistic, and resourceful—you naturally build trust and see potential where others might not. You're comfortable using NetSuite or a similar CRM/ERP to manage quotes, track opportunities, and stay organized. You work well under pressure – unexpected challenges, various personalities, and deadlines don't drain you, but rather, fuel your drive to win.
