The Inside Sales professional is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer accounts across both e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon Marketplace, and company-owned online stores) and traditional retail partners. This exempt position requires a results-driven professional who can balance proactive sales activities with operational excellence, including order processing, inventory coordination, customer ladder forecasting, and account support. The role combines relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision making to maximize revenue and ensure customer satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: E-Commerce Marketplace Management Oversee daily operations for marketplace accounts and online stores. Manage product listings, pricing strategies, content optimization, and advertising campaigns. Monitor account health, advertising ROI, and execute promotions in collaboration with Marketing and Product teams. Sales & Account Management Act as the primary contact for e-commerce marketplace accounts and retail partners. Support promotional activities, product launches, and sales campaigns. Build trust with internal and external stakeholders, uncover opportunities, and strengthen partnerships. Manage customer relationships by resolving inquiries and providing timely updates. Order & Inventory Management Process and track orders, credits, and adjustments with accuracy. Ensure on-time delivery by monitoring fulfillment and shipment schedules. Provide weekly backorder and ladder reports to support sales forecasting. Partner with Warehouse and Logistics to ensure accurate stock levels and smooth flow of goods. Sales Strategy & Forecasting Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Propose strategies to increase account performance across e-commerce and retail channels. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Accounting, Logistics, Marketing, and Product Management to support operational efficiency. Collaborate with forwarders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and returns. Reporting & Analysis Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports. Track and present key performance metrics such as revenue growth, inventory turns, and promotional effectiveness. Provide actionable insights to improve efficiency, alignment, and customer satisfaction. Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of order processing, customer ladders, and inventory management. Familiarity with e-commerce marketplaces and ERP/CRM systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, result-oriented environment requiring flexibility. Required Qualifications: Years of Education Bachelor’s degree (. or in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Work Experience 2–4 years of experience in inside sales, account management, or e-commerce/retail sales. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing Amazon Marketplace or similar e-commerce platforms. Knowledge of promotional strategies and online advertising campaigns. Working Conditions: Office-based: Typically works in an office environment. Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time. $68,640 - $70,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
