Position Overview:
The Jr. Sales Associate plays a key role in supporting the senior sales team, with a strong focus on custom quoting and providing exceptional customer support. This role also helps maintain day-to-day showroom operations and requires someone who is highly organized, client-focused, and possesses excellent phone and email communication skills.
This role provides vital administrative and sales support to the senior sales team by accurately preparing custom rug quotes, fabric reserves, and verifying stock details. The candidate will serve as a primary contact for client inquiries via phone, email, and in-showroom assistance, managing all sample requests and shipments. Responsibilities include setting up new trade accounts and maintaining accurate client records in the customer database. The position also oversees showroom operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and polished environment daily, managing showroom sample inventory with full ownership, and supporting product installations through vendor and shipping coordination. Additionally, the candidate will track daily showroom activity, including out-of-territory client interactions, and lead the quarterly visual merchandising inventory report for the samples department.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
· Must be skilled at creating quotes with a high degree of accuracy and strong mathematical competency.
· Must work well with the team collaboratively to support smooth operations and strong coordination.
· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
· Must be able to manage time effectively, quickly identify priorities, and shift between tasks with ease.
· Bachelor’s degree in design or related field; or a combination of education and relevant work experience in a similar role.
· 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably in the interior design, showroom, or luxury goods industry.
· Must be comfortable learning and using the company’s CRM and operational systems.
