Role Overview
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer – Sales & Management , you will manage, mentor, and motivate the sales applications engineering team while staying hands-on with technical and customer-facing responsibilities. This role is entirely office-based— no travel required —and supported by advanced engineering software that automates quoting, proposals, and follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop the sales applications engineering team
Spend ~30% of your time on customer calls (20–25 per day)
Review and manage RFQs, engineering drawings, and quotes
Conduct and lead team meetings
Collaborate with customers to assess needs and recommend solutions
Apply mechanical engineering expertise to ensure products meet requirements
Analyze issues and provide alternative solutions to sales professionals
Preferred Experience
Background in combustion or related systems
