Job Summary We are seeking a Leasing Sales Officer to focus on marketing and promoting the organization's leasing product. The right candidate will be highly organized and motivated to develop an in-depth understanding of the leasing product and how it fits into the organization's core lending products. The Leasing Sales Officer will support the sales activities and the flow of all Association-originated lease transactions, information, and documentation. This position will serve as the primary sales contact for all AgCountry, FCSAmerica, Frontier Farm Credit Association lease products (i.e. Grain bins/dryers, specialized livestock equipment and facilities, pole barns/metal buildings, etc.) and will work with regional teams and the Associations leasing partner, Farm Credit Leasing, throughout the leasing origination process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Primary point of contact for association lease transactions less than $500,000, including sales and product support, lease quotes and proposals. Coordinate with Farm Credit Leasing Relationship Managers on larger, more complex association lease originations.
Work directly with customers and prospects to provide leasing options and education.
Monitor the Association leasing pipeline to assure the highest level of successful lease closings.
Work directly with Farm Credit Leasing to ensure a seamless flow of information, provide timely credit decisions, document collection and generation, and booking of leases for all Association business units (incl. Retail and Corporate Lending).
Work closely with AgCountry, FCSAmerica, and Frontier Farm Credit leadership and sales officers, to promote, develop and implement leasing growth strategies consistent with associations initiatives. Provide market/industry information relevant to leasing opportunities.
Develop and deliver lease training for sales officers in conjunction with Farm Credit Leasing Relationship Managers.
Travel Time Percentage of time required to travel during the day - 30%
Percentage of time required to travel overnight - 20%
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Accounting, Finance, Finance, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science or closely related field required.
Years of Experience 3-5 years of leasing experience preferred
