Reporting to the Head of Sales and Originations, the Loan Syndications Sales and Origination Director or Executive Director will be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Industrial Line of business in originating new CIBC led syndicated transactions. This professional will have specific coverage areas (geography or industry) as well as P&L responsibility within the group. Additionally, this professional will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining co-lender relationships.
How You'll Succeed
Relationship building – You will grow and develop complex relationships not only internally but externally, too. You’ll develop and lead a co-lender investor base, including expanding existing and adding new co-lenders. You’ll build external brand awareness in the syndication market.
Teamwork – You’ll work in tandem with Portfolio Managers and Underwriters to ensure consistent syndications coverage. You’ll collaborate and help to enhance the syndication platform & offerings.
Production – Your performance will be based heavily off of your revenue generation, fee generation and cultivation of new co-lenders.
You will have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

You’re a natural storyteller and can find common threads and themes across businesses to tell an engaging, meaningful story.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $185,000.00 - $215,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
