What You’ll Do: Prospect, build out, and implement a sales pipeline of new logo clients for Total Logistics division.
Actively and effectively communicate Value Proposition of all Logistics service line offerings including Dry Van, Refrigerated, LTL, Rail, Flatbed, Power Only, and Expedite Services.
Consistently meet with key clients to maintain & develop relationships that lead to significant business opportunities for TOTAL.
Utilize a variety of communication tools to engage customer base; Phone, Email, Text Message, LinkedIn and any appropriate means to develop interactions.
Effectively communicate company and industry updates to current/potential customers. Examples included, but not limited to; PowerPoint presentations, printed slide decks, periodical email updates and industry references.
Work cross functionally with all company resources for effective implementation and execution of new business.
Communicate with Account Management & Operations to address shipper & consignee needs.
Demonstrate the ability to quote freight rates, surcharges & accessorial schedules with the guidance from pricing department, along with key technologies.
Prepare weekly reports that communicate Freight Volume, RPTM, Revenue(s), prospects and adoption of Salesforce(CRM) software
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote TOTAL’s service offerings. Examples are the following but not limited to; Food Shippers, RILA, Customer Summit, Traffic Clubs and University Engagement.
Constantly monitor competitors’ activities and industry news thru a variety of online publications
Execute expense reports bi-weekly in a detailed manner
Responsible for maintaining salesforce database (CRM) – Weekly
Other duties as assigned by management.
Travel expectation is 1 - 2 weeks per month. What We’re Looking For:
Education Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a four-year degree.
Experience 5 years’ experience of proven and verifiable success in the transportation industry.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams required.
Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM.
Skills/Certifications Experience in supply chain operations is helpful but not mandatory.
Negotiating, Leadership, Interpersonal and Short and long-term Thinking/Planning skills
Goal oriented, entrepreneurial spirit, motivated to win.
Exceptional time management skills and disciplined approach to outside sales Work Environment / Physical Requirements – Normal office settings.
