Membership Sales Consultant at Gold's Gym

Gold’s Gym SoCal and its affiliated clubs are growing fast and looking for an hourly Fitness Consultant to help us provide world‑class service to guests and members by utilizing in‑depth knowledge of company products and programs.

When you come to work you’ll

Tours potential members through the club and describes the facility, equipment, services, and amenities that tie back to their fitness needs and goals

Ensure all guests are registered and entered into the system

Communicate membership and fitness offers clearly using company provided tools

Sign up guests using company sales techniques and protocol

Adhere to Membership Agreement procedures when enrolling members and guests

On‑board new members and assist with member retention activities to drive club profitability

Consistently achieve or exceed personal and team sales goals

Obtain leads externally from the community using company tools/programs

Generate leads internally through promotions, referrals, guest passes, and outbound contacts

Set appointments for leads and new business opportunities

Maintain productive levels of activity and meet productivity goals

Collaborate with the Membership Sales Manager to deliver a member‑centric experience

Engage members with fitness offerings such as personal training, group classes, and digital content

Maintain positive relationships with members and route questions to appropriate resources

Provide a clean, friendly, well‑maintained club environment

Help new members become comfortable in the club

Must haves

Sound business judgment and strong analytical skills

Effective communication with constituents

Active listening and strong interpersonal skills

Delegation and follow‑up skills

Planning and organization skills

Ability to create a positive environment

Willingness and openness for self‑development

Ability to identify and use resources to improve operations

Strong leadership, motivational, communication, and team‑building skills

College degree preferred

Current CPR Certification required

Bilingual preferred

Role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
