As the Assistant General Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Managing operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
Directly supporting the General Manager, acting in the GM's absence when needed
Maintaining an accurate and up to date manpower plan of FOH staffing needs
Identifying operational opportunities to build sales and control costs; develop and implement plans to address opportunities
Exhibit high performance standards and ensure all FOH team members are providing exceptional service to patrons
Perform night check outs and audits
Investigate and resolve service/food quality concerns
Maintain safe, secure and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems
Other duties to be assigned based on venues requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Staffing, training and developing FOH hourly employees through orientations, ongoing feedback, establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews on a regular basis
Provide a positive, fun working environment for associates
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' upper level management experience in a full food and beverage, high volume upscale and/or club environment required
Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
Must have the ability to complete the process for the Massachusetts State Gaming Commission service employee registration prior to starting
High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
