New Business Development Professional

We are seeking a driven, results-oriented sales professional to join our growing team and help lead our business development efforts.
Position Summary: The New Business Development professional will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing national accounts in the temperature-controlled LTL and Truckload market. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment and is passionate about building long-term client relationships and understanding of the reefer based ltl network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for temperature-sensitive LTL freight services nationwide
- Identify and secure new business through prospecting, cold calls, warm leads, and referrals
- Manage the full sales cycle, including quoting, negotiating, and onboarding customers
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless execution of services
- Stay informed on cold chain industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities
- Travel 1015% for face-to-face client meetings and industry networking events
Qualifications:
- 5 years minimum freight industry experience 3 of which years of sales experience in 3PL or asset-based logistics (temperature-controlled/cold chain experience needed)
- Proven success building managing, maintaining and growing a portfolio of 3M+ in annual revenue
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency preferred)
- Book of Business to plug and play success along with having no non compete, is a very parge plus
- High School diploma required; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
