This position can be based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI or our New York Design Office in New York, NY. You'll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, enjoying the flexibility of remote work on Fridays.
About the Role
As the National Retail Sales Director, you will guide a dynamic team of sales professionals in crafting innovative media strategies that address diverse client challenges. Your mission will be to build and nurture a customer-focused sales force dedicated to driving substantial ad revenue growth while ensuring profitable financial outcomes. This role leverages your media expertise to effectively communicate the unique strengths of Kohl's Media Network in a competitive environment.
What You'll Do
Lead, coach, and motivate a sales team towards exceeding revenue goals, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability through a unified vision.
Achieve annual and quarterly media sales targets with a commitment to consistent, predictable performance.
Provide strategic mentorship to sellers at all levels, focusing on real-time coaching, pipeline management, and long-term skill enhancement.
Strengthen national brand relationships by enhancing existing partnerships and discovering new media revenue opportunities.
Adapt confidently to changes within the media and retail landscape by navigating ambiguity and adjusting strategies as needed.
Contribute to building and scaling the foundational sales infrastructure for Kohl's Media Network, including optimizing CRM, refining team workflows, and developing go-to-market plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design impactful advertising solutions that achieve organizational objectives.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and customers, acting as a trusted advisor to drive their business forward and leading high-profile pitches.
Enhance the organization's reputation as a media sales authority through the development and dissemination of best practices and points of view.
Deliver cutting-edge media strategies and innovative solutions that catalyze sales across various platforms and channels through a deep understanding of clients' customers and business goals.
Partner with technology and planning teams to prioritize new product innovations.
Continuously seek knowledge in the digital media space, keeping leadership informed of emerging trends and technologies.
What Skills You Have
8+ years in digital media sales
5+ years of experience managing media sales teams
Bachelor's degree in any field
Hands-on Salesforce experience (reporting, forecasting, opportunity management)
