Assist in the development a training of Dental Assistants and lead group trainings as necessary

Accurately describe to patient and family the necessary treatment plan and next steps

Proficient with identifying and taking (periapical, bitewings, panoramic) and assisting others in taking diagnostic radiographs and intraoral pictures
Gathering patient discharge materials at appropriate time
Ability to provide clear, effective and encouraging oral hygiene instructions
Ability to communicate and gather essential documentation, such as consent forms
Answering all patient inquiries in person and on the phone, creating appropriate contracts and payment plans for private pay patients

Collect and document clear, concise and accurate patient records

Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
Maintain all practice supplies needed to successfully provide patient treatment
Troubleshoot minor repairs required at the practice

Active EDDA/EFDA certification or registration that meets state requirements
Radiology Education and training that meets state requirements
Proficient with e-Clinical Works and or Eaglesoft
Current BLS CPR Certification
Extensive experience working in a dental office
Proficient with hygiene and operative instruments and understanding the proper use of these instruments
Ability to take quality dental impressions
Experience with administration and monitoring of Nitrous Oxide
Knowledge of setting up and storing Calverton
Experience using, cleaning and storing all hand pieces
Ability to place quality sealants, using appropriate isolation
Proficient with tooth numbers/letters and the ability to chart existing restorations, teeth, decay and proposed restorations accurately
Proficient in all hygiene procedures including coronal polish, radiographs, oral hygiene instructions and progress notes
Ability to understand and accurately record patient vitals
Experience with protective stabilization cases (i.e. head holding, hand holding)
Follows standard of care guidelines concerning proper isolation for restorations
Effectively position, retracts, and assists chair-side
Proficient in all restorative procedures on permanent and primary teeth. This includes composite (I, II, III), amalgam (I, II, III), and stainless-steel crowns
Familiar with Pediatric Space Maintainer System – Denovo in chair space maintainer
Knowledge in all dental equipment within the practice and their maintenance.
Able to take practice inventory of all supplies.
Demonstrates the ability to train and lead a team of Dental Assistants.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires full range of body motion.
