OUTSIDE SALES REP (Charlotte, NC)
ARC Group is seeking Outside Sale Rep in the Charlotte, NC market for our direct client. They are an established wholesale distributor specializing in decorative hardware (HVAC, lighting, electrical, bath…) from leading manufacturers. The Outside Sales Rep will join a leader in their industry to communicate with Customers and leads to identify and suggest product needs by demonstrating the functions of the products to meet their needs.
Outside Sales Role – Key Responsibilities Develop and sustain a strong network to generate new business opportunities.
Strengthen existing customer relationships, driving repeat orders and increased purchasing activity.
Meet with business clients to uncover needs, provide tailored product recommendations, and deliver consultative value.
Present and explain product features and benefits in line with customer requirements.
Proactively manage customer satisfaction through regular check-ins and issue resolution post-sale.
Keep existing and former clients informed of product updates, new offerings, and relevant enhancements.
Track sales activity in detail, including prospecting efforts, opportunities, wins/losses, and relationship updates.
Forecast sales performance within assigned territory and actively pursue leads to achieve or exceed targets.
Candidate Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Prior (recent or current) sales B2B environments
Background in appliances, lighting, plumbing, or related industries strongly preferred but not required. Distribution/supply chain, manufacturing, or home building industry sales experience is helpful.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Driven by results, with a competitive yet collaborative mindset.
Strong customer-service orientation with genuine enthusiasm for the company’s products and solutions.
Reliable attendance and follow-through.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written, verbal, and basic computer tools.
Ability to travel extensively within the Charlotte, NC market (up to ~75%).
Additional Notes Must be comfortable interacting with customers, distribution, warehouse, contractors, and builders, etc.
