Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Construction Equipment & Tool Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on expanding our customer base and supporting our existing clients. This position is field-based, ideal for individuals who excel at building relationships, solving problems, and driving results. The territory covered includes New Haven, Fairfield, and Lower Litchfield Counties.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow an existing book of business across assigned territories.
Prospect and develop new client relationships through cold calling, site visits, and networking.
Follow up on qualified leads provided by the inside sales team.
Conduct on-site client visits to assess needs and recommend equipment solutions.
Deliver compelling sales presentations and negotiate agreements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for account management and customer service.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, service, and support.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions.
Essential Skills
Experience in outside sales, preferably in construction equipment or a related field.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
Ability to travel regularly to client sites across Connecticut.
Clean driving record.
2+ years of experience in construction equipment sales or usage.
1+ year of client-facing/customer service role.
1+ year of experience with Excel or CRM systems.
Work Environment
This role involves on-road traveling and office or home-based work as needed. There is an expectation to come into the office once a week. A company truck, gas card, and cell phone are provided to support your work. The team offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to manage your tasks independently. Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of South Windsor, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
