Willbanks Metals Inc. is a Fort Worth, Texas-based company and we're expanding our production and distribution capabilities as well as our capacity. Because of this, we are seeking out an outside sales representative that is based in the Southwest US.
About the Job
As an outside sales representative, you are responsible for actively seeking out new customers as well as customer support. This position has a flexible work environment, consisting of days in the office, face-to-face with customers, and remote work with some travel. This role is responsible for the sales and marketing of our products as well as implementing sales plans, building your pipeline and managing a sales funnel. Your primary focus will be to expand our customer base in addition to maintaining long-term partnerships with existing customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new ideas and sales strategies to promote and sell our flat roll products, long products, and value-added services.
- Actively seek out and engage customers in the metal industry as well as retain our existing customer base.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Continue the follow through by collaborating with the internal team to ensure seamless order processing, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Achieve sales targets and outcomes within deadlines.
- Analyze the market's potential, track sales of the company goals.
- Prepare sales plans, reports, expenses, and daily call reports. Creates bids on new and existing projects.
- Maintain records of sales and other company transactions
- Know our industry. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to effectively position our products and services.
- Be involved; Actively participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to represent Willbanks well, and generate leads and enhance brand exposure.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in selling flat roll products.
- Strong knowledge of the steel industry, including various products, applications, and manufacturing processes.
- Computer literacy, Outlook and Excel required.
- Problem- solving.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Strong customer service experience and build rapport in order to establish trust with customers.
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision and with a team.
- Effective written and oral communication
- Great organizational skills as well as great time management
- Ability to work remotely.
- Willing to travel or relocate if needed.
