Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Discovery
Lead consultative discovery sessions to understand customer business goals, technical requirements, and current state infrastructure.
Translate business challenges into value-based, scalable enterprise networking solutions.
Engage in executive-level conversations and technical workshops to shape customer strategy.
Solution Architecture & Design
• Design and integrate Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), CBRS/Private 5G architectures, and managed service offerings aligned with client operational models.
Architect full-stack enterprise networking solutions, integrating Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN and routing/switching.
Serve as the technical lead on opportunities, guiding the pre-sales process across multiple technologies and OEMs (., Juniper Mist, Cisco, Fortinet
Develop High-Level Designs (HLD), Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, and customer deliverables.
Own and convert designs into accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), cost models, and OEM configurations.
• Translate technical designs into commercial solutions with cost modeling, pricing strategies, and bundled offerings in collaboration with sales and delivery teams.
• Coordinate with OEM partners to manage solution alignment, pricing strategy, and deal registrations.
Sales Enablement & Collaboration
Partner with Account Managers and BDM to drive deal strategy and competitive differentiation.
Support strategic pursuits, RFP responses, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) engagements from ideation to closure.
Contribute to sales enablement material, playbooks, and demo development using our Center of Excellence.
Thought Leadership & Market Awareness
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape, market trends (., AI-NaaS, IT/OT convergence), and emerging technologies.
Participate in industry events, partner briefings, and client innovation sessions to represent Black Box as a trusted advisor.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex deal strategy, influence decision-makers, and synthesize technical content into strategic business value.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field—or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or service delivery.
• Working knowledge of compliance and security frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, IT/OT) as they relate to enterprise network design.
Proven success designing and positioning enterprise networking solutions for large-scale clients.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
Experience with major OEM platforms: Juniper Mist, Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, and similar.
Preferred:
Experience working for a system integrator, VAR, MSP, or OEM in a customer-facing capacity.
Familiarity with vertical-specific use cases (Healthcare, Industrial, Finance, Education, Public Sector).
Advanced certifications: CCIE, JNCIE (highly preferred), or equivalents such as CWNP, CNNA/NP, NSE.
Familiarity with AI-driven networking, NaaS models, and hybrid connectivity strategies (on-prem, cloud-managed, edge).
