POSITION SUMMARY
Servtech, A Roeslein Company, is seeking an Pre-Sales Power Engineer to join our team in the energy, mining, industrial power markets, and Integrated bio-energy solutions. This individual must have the desire to perform quality work safely, be detail-oriented, and have superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. As an Pre-Sales Power Engineer , you will support the design, engineering, procurement, and product life cycle management of large-scale custom manufactured industrial equipment. The Pre-Sales Power Engineer will focus on 3 Phase Power Distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience using AutoCAD (Electrical AutoCAD preferred) to review and create:
Power one-line diagrams
Wiring diagrams
Cable/conduit schedules
Panel schedules
Panel Layouts
Creation of BOMs
Understanding Conductor and raceway sizing
Sizing and selection of power distribution equipment including:
Switchgear
Motor control centers
Panelboards
VFD panels
Transformers
Lighting panels
Other electrical equipment
Working knowledge with 480 VAC to 4,160 VAC 3-phase systems and equipment
Experience with electrical equipment component vendors.
Reviewing client specifications to ensure appropriate equipment is selected for the application
Experience in laying out panel design.
A bility to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
Develop applications to meet specific needs and business goals.
Act as the bridge between engineering teams and end-users.
Provide pre-sales and design support.
Provide internal and external training sessions on Servtech UL solutions.
Comfortable with Customer interaction and bridging gap between engineering and business development team
Experience with utility, industrial or data center electrical systems
Knowledge and experience with the National Electric Code for sizing and implementation of conductors, raceways, equipment clearances, and other code requirements.
Support engineers and Business Development to meet project goals and deadlines.
Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
Knowledge of UL 508A, UL 891, NEC, and related standards.
Must follow training and company procedures.
Must be a leader who represents the organization with the ability to be a liaison to our customers, adhere to company standards, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
Previous Consulting Engineer and/or post sales experience a plus

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in application engineering, design engineering, or technical support in electrical distribution, controls, or automation.
Experience with utility, industrial or data center electrical systems
Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is required. Excellent organization and planning skills.
Experience of electrical power systems, protective devices and control schemes
Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
AutoCAD drafting experience beyond a basic level is preferred
Experience developing drawings for fabrication of wireway systems is preferred
Experience using ETAP electrical design and study software is preferred
Excellent Communication skills; both oral and written is required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly is required. Must be able to stand/walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time. Requires the ability to work from heights while utilizing the appropriate PPE for each situation.

$75,611 - $103,965.50 annually
