Job Title: Public Sector Sales Executive or Senior Sales Executive - Enterprise
Who You Are:
Slalom is seeking a Salesforce Public Sector Sales Executive to join our Global Salesforce practice to cover the (Western/Eastern) half of the United States. This industry Sales Executive will work with the regional Slalom Markets to drive business results by producing a well-managed, profitable, and growing book of business in the Public Sector industry. This includes supporting Markets with managing the complete sales lifecycle including activities such as Public Sector procurement coaching, industry research, client discovery conversations, proposal development and pricing, formal presentations and contract negotiations. Successful candidates must thrive in a people-based corporate culture and be passionate about identifying new client opportunities and growing the Slalom brand in the Public Sector space. Experience identifying and mitigating risk as well as partnering with Slalom strategic partners such as Salesforce are critical factors in growing the Slalom Public Sector practice.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Public Sector leader with strong Salesforce and client relationships and has a broad background in working with state, local, education and non-profit organizations.
The Sales Executive will be accountable for sales and revenue targets, continued growth of our relationship with Salesforce, and work internally and externally to help position Slalom as the leader in supporting our clients.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Executive will be part of Slalom’s Enterprise team and have direct and indirect business development, alliance, and practice growth responsibilities.
Business Development
Support net-new opportunities in conjunction with the Market’s Account and Practice Leaders
Build, develop and nurture prospect/client relationships
Support the sales and procurement process, including prospecting and top of the funnel activities; competitive strategies; proposal solution and win theme development; pricing consultation and contract negotiations including terms and conditions
Thoroughly qualify leads and sales opportunities
Review RFP, identify areas of risk, work with Markets to appropriately respond with clearly identified scope and assumptions
Assist with quarterly and annual forecasting for assigned territory
Monitor pipeline of actuals/forecast
Overachieve on quarterly and annual sales quota targets in territory
Mentor other sellers within the Market including the sales, account, and practice teams
Develop and maintain relationships with Salesforce industry leaders and partner sales
Partner with Slalom’s Salesforce alliance teams on pursuits and sales activities
Support the Market growth by providing industry knowledge and industry growth strategies
Cultivate relationships with Salesforce industry partners and sales leads at the field level
Assist with, and prioritize go-to-market (GTM) efforts
Track successes and educate Markets and clients about the work Slalom is delivering nationally
Help identify and market repeatable plays, both internally and externally
Work collaboratively with sales and marketing to represent Slalom at various events
Industry Practice Growth
Work collaboratively with Slalom’s leadership team developing and executing new processes and assets to support Markets in their industry pursuits
Assist in proactively identifying market trends and developing practice/sales approaches to support identified trends
Work closely with Slalom’s cross-functional teams to support Public Sector growth within the company
Lead business development and Public Sector industry growth according to established goals
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Public Sector with a blend of sales, delivery, and account management experience
Proven track record of breaking into and growing new accounts with experience in building relationships with CXOs and business decision-makers
Deep understanding of Public Sector procurement and budget cycles
Deep understanding of Public Sector contract vehicles and reseller channels
Public Sector RFx and contract development experience – understanding of risk and mitigation strategies for response and contracting deals
Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally
Ability to leverage business insights to drive action through influence -- directly and indirectly
Deep subject matter expertise in one or more public sector lines of business is ideal
Salesforce and/or CRM expertise is ideal
Deep understanding of current CRM competitive landscape (specifically the Salesforce ecosystem is ideal)
Skilled at guiding teams through complex sales pursuits
Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Natural and effortless relationship management / partner development skills
Excellent collaboration and team-building skills
Organized and methodical; strong prioritization and negotiation skills
Experienced and adept at aligning teams to work toward a common goal
Creative and innovative; seen as a visionary in their approach

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range for the Sales Executive role, the base salary pay range is $104,000 - $198,000. For the Sr Sales Executive role, the base salary pay range is $123,000- $234,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
